Frequently asked questions
What is Fling?
Fling is a free random video chat. It pairs you with a random stranger for a live one-on-one video call. Press Next anytime to meet someone else.
Is it free?
Yes. Fling is free to use and there's nothing to download — it runs in your browser.
Do I need an account?
No. You can start chatting as a guest. Signing in is optional.
Is my video recorded?
No. Video and audio are sent peer-to-peer, directly between you and the other person. Fling does not record or store your calls.
How does Next work?
Next instantly disconnects you from the current person and finds you a new match. The person you skipped won't be matched back to you right away.
How do I report someone?
Use the Report button during a chat. Reports are logged and reviewed, and accounts that collect enough reports are automatically banned.
Why do I need to allow camera and microphone access?
Fling is a video chat, so it needs your camera and mic to connect you. Access is requested in your browser and you can revoke it anytime. Use the app over https or http://localhost — browsers block camera access on insecure URLs.
Who can use it?
Fling is strictly for people 18 and older. By starting a chat you confirm you meet the age requirement and agree to the community rules.
